Daisy: the Valley margarita bar on North America's 50 Best
The team behind Mírate opened a margarita-only cantina on Ventura Boulevard in April 2025. A year later it entered North America's 50 Best Bars at No. 44. Here is how the menu works, what to order and what is opening upstairs.
Daisy opened in April 2025 on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. It comes from the team behind Mírate in Los Feliz, and it does one thing: margaritas. In April 2026 it entered North America's 50 Best Bars at No. 44, which put a Valley bar on the same list as the best rooms in New York and Mexico City.
How the menu works
The margaritas are split into three sections. Cantina is the classics, Mercado is fruit and seasonal builds, and Salsa Bar is the technical end. Anything that isn't a margarita sits on a short list called Not Daisies. The drinks come pre-salted, so there are no rims to ask about.
Beverage director Max Reis built the tequila around private bottlings, including a reposado made with El Tesoro and an extra añejo with Tequila Ocho, poured from tapped glass jugs behind the bar. Chef Alan Sanz runs the kitchen. The room is a wood-paneled cantina of about 100 seats, with a checkered floor and a custom jukebox.
What to order
- The frozen margarita inspired by guacamole.
- The mangoneada, with popping boba.
- The Salsa Verde margarita.
- To eat: aguachile de chayote, chicharrón del parque and the crab tostada.
- Critics split on the larger plates, so build a table out of the small ones.
How to get in
- Reservations on Resy.
- Sunday and Monday 5pm to 11pm, Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday 5pm to 1am.
- Weekend brunch, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 3pm, with small bites until 5pm.
- Late-night happy hour, Tuesday to Thursday from 10pm to midnight.
- Cocktails run about $20.
What is next
Upstairs, the same team is opening Gilbert Perez, a bar built around Mexican rum. In October 2026 Resy reported it was due to open later in the month. Check Daisy's Instagram for the date.
