Staff scan texts
RollCall · SMS opt-in & consent
RollCall sends venue operators' on-shift staff a short operational text — a link to snap a quick crowd photo of the room so the venue's live status stays fresh. Opting in is optional, and consent is always the staff member's own action.

How a staff member opts in — SMS double opt-in
There is one opt-in method, and it requires the staff member's own confirmation by text. RollCall never sends operational messages to a number until its owner has replied YES:
- A staff member voluntarily gives their mobile number to their employer (the venue manager) for work communications. The manager enters it into the venue's private staff roster in the RollCall operator dashboard.
- Before any operational message is sent, RollCall texts one opt-in request to that number.
- The staff member replies YES — this is the opt-in. RollCall immediately sends a confirmation message. Only after this YES does RollCall send any further messages. A staff member who does not reply YES receives nothing else.
